We are so happy we chose Yi Li Photography for our hospital and newborn sessions. Carrie was very professional and didn’t miss a detail! She arrived at the hospital within hours of our son’s birth to capture all the joy of those first precious moments. She worked quickly yet efficiently getting several great shots without interrupting our family bonding time. During our newborn session at home, she made us feel comfortable, not rushed or posed, as I have felt with other photographers. As a mom of 3 herself, she understands how to get even the young kids to cooperate and gain their attention. She had all the details taken care of, listened to and incorporated my wishes, and most importantly, she captured the impossible – a great shot of all 5 of us smiling at the camera, yet looking naturally comfortable! She presented the finished products so beautifully, it is very apparent she loves her work and takes pride in her product. From our sessions to delivery of the final products, she was prompt and easy to communicate with. We had so many wonderful shots to choose from and now we have an amazing album and prints to treasure forever. I would definitely recommend her work; it is priceless!

Carrie is a genius at getting families arranged and ready to be photographed! She walked into our multi-generational, post-holiday scene and gently corralled us, picking some great places in our house for photographs that we had never noticed and getting everybody ready to look their best. We relaxed and she started snapping. We ended up with some wonderful family groupings that really capture the delight of grandparents, uncles, and parents with our new granddaughter. We’re so happy to have these pictures from that special time – not formal studio shots, but pictures of us at home – and everybody’s in the picture!

Carrie is a talented photographer, for sure, but she’s also gifted in knowing how to tune into what makes a photo session successful. I had a specific idea about capturing our family at this moment, in this place and I was delighted with the results.
